Who cares if it's only 90 day warranty? You can sell these on ebay for $300+ if you don't want to risk using them.

90 day warranty on this is pretty good. I find that if a card is gonna fail it's either DOA or bust in 30 days or less. If it makes it 90 days then likely it's gonna go a few years minimal

Yeah, pretty much. Unless you mine on it and make it run extremely hot :D

that's still a good return right now for 90 days

Lol, yeah you're absolutely right...

I'm feeling torn right now between 4 options...

1) Keep the 7970 and mine on it with nothing but the 90 warranty.

2) Mine on it for a bit, then sell it before it burns :D

3) Sell it right away for at least $350

4) Purchase the extended warranty @ $22 for 1 year or $50 for 2 years.

I'm really town between 1 and 4, the other two are kinda "meh" options since mining is so profitable right now.

If you're considering #4 for 2 years, why not just buy a new card?

Yep, that's the thing that drwas me back the most. When I add up the costs of the card + 2 year warranty, it adds up to $300. I could get a new 280x for $300. However, if the card fails during the 2 years, I will most likely get a refund of the original purchase price since service net rarily does replacements, or they will replace it with an upgraded card such as the 280x or equivalent.

So it's either take the risk and mine on it without the service net warranty or sell it.
