Story is about a couple that worked to rehab the vick dogs after PETA and the Humane Society deemed them hopeless. Most dogs were able to be saved and are now in new homes.

What's shitty (I already hate PETA) is they didn't even evaluate them, just went on they were fight dogs, they can all die.

Just another reason to say, fuck PETA.

Edit - Great link, also just re-enforces dogs are a product of their owners. To the people that say I'd never own a pitbull because they are violent are wrong. (Regardless of any freak story about how someone knew someone that had one that was peaceful then snapped).

As far as I know PETA is opposed to people owning pets. So from a purely push their agenda POV advocating killing the dogs is a smart move. So they can come out and say that humans are cruel just look at the Vick dogs. Despite this being an isolated incident.

Does it really surprise anyone anymore that PETA recommended putting the dogs down? PETA kills most of the animals it gets.

Awww...good story. I love me some pitbulls. Nicest dogs I've ever known, and they're super handsome.

uh... because PETA is a piece of shit organization that does not give a flying fuck about dogs and believes all working breeds should go extinct as they no longer serve their original purpose. Fuck PETA and fuck anyone who supports them. They push a retarded agenda.

If my Boston Terrier ever randomly snaps, I can pick it up with one hand and throw it out the door. If my pit bull ever randomly snaps I (or my kids) no longer have a face.

And o_O at the people upset with PETA and not Vick.

I met the nicest pitbull last weekend for the first time. He ended up literally sleeping on my back most of the night, which was fairly uncomfortable because he was huge, but he was the nicest dog I've ever seen. Still wouldn't get one myself just because I prefer the look of retrievers, but pitbulls can have great personalities.

Yeah. I guess they feel it's more humane to "put them out of their misery" rather than have them "enslaved" by a loving household.

I guess all domesticated animals should be killed or let out in the wild to die if you use that logic. Fucking idiots.

i didnt read the link, but it is scientifically proven that silver fox's aggressiveness is directly linked to their gene pool. theyve been domesticating silver tailed foxes for 60 years, and in controlled breeding experiments its clear that genes play a big role. (they even tried taking foxes from the aggressive kennels to see if they could raise them tame, but it didnt work very well).

i guess it could be different for dogs, as they are already genetically programmed to adore to humans. it was an interesting show i watched on that though.

not to mention it kind of flies in the face of their whole animals have souls and feelings gimmick. if they actually believed that shit how could they so easily go around offing dogs and cats so easily? it's because they don't believe that shit, they're just nutcases who figured out how to pull on heart strings.

Dainthomas, people are annoyed with PETA because they didn't even give the dogs a chance. And that's just one of the many things that adds fuel to the fire of PETA hate. I have no respect for PETA and wish to see them done away with. It blows my mind a group that supports domestic terrorism so openly can operate so freely within our borders.
