I thought the main problem with the source code being leaked was the haxors could use it to create very effective cheats.

Not only that, but some of that code contained third party (Havocs physical engine) that Vavle was sworn not to devulge. So they are now risking litigation.

Hey this is a little OT, but do you guys know if the full version of HL2 will ship with the ATi 9800/9600 XT cards or will it be single player only? I know there isn't any 'solid' info on this, but just curious on what ya'll know. I read at Tomshardware that it's single player only and then at HarcOCP that it's the full version. Thanks 😉

Vivendi's 'Half Life II' code stolen

Firm delays video game's release after hacker breaks into e-mail, steals a third of source code.

Yeah I read the Inquirer later on in the day after they updated the story. Dont know what to believe but cnn money has a screen shot of a hacked playable version of the game compiled from the leaked source.
