Update on a thread I posted a long time ago about my Great-Uncle Harley

I don't know if anyone remembers my story about how my great-uncle had his wife abducted and his life savings stolen by his step children, but I thought I'd update it. http://forums.anandtech.com/me...did=1558330&arctab=arc

Harley died yesterday, just after midnight. :( We're having a memorial gathering for him on Saturday, then his ashes will be taken up to Alaska to be scattered on his wife's (not the abducted one, but the one he had kids with) and two grandchildren's graves.

Update:
In the end, Harley never got a dime from that little prick. It takes a long time to get things like this to go anywhere, and in the end, his time just ran out. His son should inherit the judgement against Randy, but he'll need to show initiative to get anything done about it, and from what I hear, he's not likely to put that kind of effort out.

Update 9/27:
Wow, my family is falling apart. 9 days ago, my dad lost an uncle (Harley, his mother's brother) and yesterday, my dad lost an aunt (his father's sister, my great-aunt.) If the saying is that these things run in threes, then this is hopefully all of the family deaths for awhile since my uncle (my dad's brother-in-law) died in May.

i still don't understand how what she signed could be legal since she signed it under the influence of narcotics. When my mom went in for her second open heart surgery we had a lawyer come to the hospital room for the PoA and that was the first thing he asked when i called him. Is your mom on any kind of narcotics. no she wasnt. also that notary need to have his or hers notary revoked. the son should be in jail for fraud along with the tripple damages from elder abuse.
