Update of the CompUSA "free" mouse deal

The weirdest thing happened today. I check on my online banking, and the two "pending" transactions of CompUSA for $9.40(which was for express shipping, and authorized), AND the $253+change(which I assume they tried to charge me the full price of) has disappeared completely. I check on the CompUSA website, and it still says that my order is "processing". Now the weird part. The 10 mice I order came today! :Q . I don't know if they plan to charge me for these, so I may have to return them, but it looks like I may have gotten these for free, without even the $9.40 I planned to pay for these. For all of you that got emails saying that there was a price mistake and that they would be cancelling your order...I never got this email. Their site still says "processing" so they may try to charge me again.

Now for the good part, to whoever is reading this thread. If you weren't one of those people who were busy bashing me for being greedy, I will send you one of these. I think I have 2 to spare, since I've spoken with 8 of my friends who have confirmed that they want one. I will ship it out in a few days, once I'm assured that there will not be any additional charges to my card. Just send me $5 to cover the cost of shipping it priority mail($4 for priority mail, $1 for the padded envelope). I may ask for an additional $1 to cover the original shipping cost if they charge me that.

Please don't spam my PM box. Just reply here that you want one, and then PM me. You should then know if you were one of the first 2. I should know by the end of the week whether they are going to charge me or not.

You got it. I should know by the end of the week for sure. I just opened one up, and it's rather nice. MUCH nicer than the Inland laptop mouse that I use. This one even comes with a nice short USB cord, perfect for laptop use. It also comes with a USB extension cord to make it longer, as well as a USB to ps2 port adapter, and a really nice leather-like case for it. I can see how they used to charge $50 for this thing.

I think that maybe the difference is not getting the 1 cent shipping? Can anyone confirm this? Did anyone else other than me also get their mice? And if so...did you choose the express 2 day shipping as well?

Hmmm...I got a PM from someone saying that they wanted one, but did not post here. He PM'ed me at 11:01. Looks like you posted here at 10:55 but didn't PM me. I'll have to be careful about this, but I think you will get the second one, because you did technically call dibs first. I will let you know by the end of the week if I need to send these back, or CompUSA will be charging me something extra for these.

I'm sorry. I wish I had another one to give you. In fact, I wish I had one to give to everyone that posts here, but I only have 2 that are "unspoken" for. Like I said in the other thread...I got these to give to my friends who go to business school with me. I'm sure that someone (i.e. the person above who got 35) would be willing to help you out and give you one for the cost of shipping alone.

I think the mods locked the other thread, because of all the bashings. This is an informative thread about what happened to the deal that was posted before. Such follow up threads should and have been posted in the hot deals forum before.

Oh, and you got me pinned so well. My so called greedy heart could no longer bear it, and after fighting with my conscious for hours on end, came to the conclusion that I would look like a hero of AT forums by giving away two measly mice that I got for free.

I mean no more, or no less that what I posted. I have 2 extra mice left over after giving one each to 8 of my friends. Two people that I thought would want them, are so used to using their track pads or tracking points on their laptops, that they don't feel like they need it. Instead of selling the two on eBay or trying to sell them to people here, I though I'd maybe help out two people that really wanted the mouse, but didn't get one due to chiming in late on the deal. Contrary to what some of you may think....I am not selling anything. I am not trying to make a profit on these two mice. I am shipping them out to whoever called dibs for the price I will incur to send these to them. I'm sorry if I can't send these for the "penny" that they might have thought they were going to pay. If they lived near me, they would have been free to stop by to pick one up, or I would have dropped it off on my way to class or something. If you refer to this as "selling", then you have a very obscure view on things.

For ppl who whining about they get 10 or even 1000 mice, why don't you tell yourself that next time you would be faster than those who got them? Stop whining and live on with your life, Oh also admit that you are such losers. I believe that if you have such chances, you wouldn't hesitate to do the same, am i correct?

I was going to order 1 myself, but then I saw only $5.00 shipping so I back out. I'd never complaint about they got 100 and I got none.
