Just found out about this yesterday. If you live in the DFW area go by a B&M OD and ask about the sale coming up this Saturday from 9-12 in the morning. They have some coupons thet they'll give you which include:

- $25 off $50 coupon
- 25% off ink cartridges
- $3 for 50pk 80min cd-r's
- and several others


This is a local thing only for the OD stores in the DFW district and its in-store only.

from jaggrey: This is also valid at Washington DC area stores, only it's tomorrow (6/20) from 5-1hr after closing (i.e. 5-10pm).

from wolf papa: Kansas City store near me also has "invitations" to a Private Sale- included in the envelope are $25 off $50, 25% off ink, etc. Sale is Saturday 6-22-02, from 9am-12 only.

An assistant mgr at an OD in Memphis told me about a similar in store promo on Saturday, and encouraged me to come on over. He mentioned the CD-R's, but not the other items. I figured it was BS as usual, but perhaps this is a regional promo. Worth looking into.

Give you the coupons NOW? Or on Saturday? Also which OD did you goto I'm in Carrollton, and there are tons of them around here, any specific stores (of course I'll bet they are all in the DFW distrubution area).

Also is this like a limited thing like wait 20mins before the store opens type thing?
 
the guy at store #126 in ft. worth near the hulen mall told me over the phone that you have to come in and ask about it. they give you the coupons today, but they're only good on the 22nd
 
Sweet, thanks! I was planning on dropping by for the 100pk Imation + 100 slim-line case deal.....now I'll go, spend some money, get some coupons, and go back and spend some more money. 🙂
 
from what I understand, I got the last box of cases that the ft. worth one had yesterday. they may have gotten more in though, I don't know.

they had plenty of the spindles left, and $10 for 100 CDRs isn't TOO bad...

i don't want to post the whole list but i got the coupons from a store in plano. i know i saw everywhere form desoto to ft.worth on the list of stores. it should be good at all DFW area stores as the CSR in store told me this was a "district only sale."

as for the ones elsewhere in the country i cannot confirm. sounds like it may be a national thing that only certains areas opted in to, but i can neither confirm nor deny this.

Ok so I went to my Carrollton store. The guy would not give me the coupons b/c I didn't have the mailing. Even though I live a mile away and am registered at their website ? However he said I could come by on saruday anyway but can I get the coupons?
 
i've gotten 4 coupons from the store @ preston & park in plano. try a different store, i dunno why the guy wouldn't give them to you...

Jeez what do you do with 750 CDRs?! I burn a lot (5-6 a week) but that would take 2 years to burn that many.
 
25 off 50 coupon from OD is LOCATION SPECIFIC, and TIME SPECIFIC.

The coupon has area/store it applies to and time frame (eg 9-12 6/23/02) it is valid

Edit: I was told that Preston/Parker store was packed before the closing hour(12:00), unlimited Cdr for 2.99 and some nice chair sale. My friend was able to pick up a Direct Duo system for 19.88 (of course add some other thing to use 25 off 50)

Too bad nearest OD from Columbus, OH is 45 min away
 
this sale was OFF THE HOOK!!! come on, i know the old-schoolers cleaned up on this one. i'm so hyped i got a hedake!
and the stores here had different ones -- some were CLEARLY xeroxed, others looked like wedding invitations...
somebody post their finds to educate these guys! show your skills!
