*update* my kitten is not well... (don't read while eating)

just went into the bathroom and there is blood in my kittens litter tray

there are also what look like worms so i assume i need to use worming tablets, but do i need to take the cat to the vet?

is this kind of thing normal?


update: took kitten to vets, he said that it is normal for cats with worms to have blood in thier stools, he gave me some worming powder and gave him an injection (antibiotics).

kitten is well again

Any worm medicine should never be given until a vet approves them. Some contain chemicals that, in extreme cases, could kill the animal if they are already infected. Take your kitty to the vet.

Do the worms look like grains of rice? If so they are tapeworm. If not, then probably roundworm.

See a vet. Blood is worrisome.
