Looks good to me...$5 shipping is pretty good too. There was a $10 rebate from micro$oft on this mouse somewhere, so you could get it for $25+$5-$10=$23 shipped that would be a really good deal. Does anyone have a link to the rebate?

That's a great price. Here is a link to the MS rebate.

I'm tempted, but I already have an Intellimouse Explorer.

Is there a memebership fee for first time online orders in Best Buy online? I remember I was gonna order a NIC but the first time fee dissuaded(word?) me.

From the picture and description at the site,
this is a "Microsoft Intellimouse EXPLORER"
So the rebate link is no good since it's for the intellimouse optical(2button).

And the site is Best Byte (not Best Buy).
:D

$28 + $5 shipping is a HOT price for this mouse.

I bought this a couple months back when they had a rebate and I love it.

StKnick--

Actually, you're mistaken. The IntelliMouse Optical mouse is a 5-button mouse just like the Explorer--it's just a slightly different form factor. Some people even prefer its smaller size.

What you're thinking of is the Wheel Mouse Optical, which is a 3-button mouse (two buttons plus wheel).

The rebate is valid for the mouse for sale at this site, so long as they send out the mouse that is advertised.

it is a nice mouse. I have one already. The 5 buttons are so useful. I use one for Foward and one for Back on my IE.

if any of you have a Costco nearby you can get it for $19.99 there. With two rebates. One from MS and one from Costco. Good until the end of this month.

Couldn't find out the rebate from Costco.
And there is not such coupon for this mouse in the Coupon book of
Costco.

hey m1ke101

I don't think it's the mouse, it more like your mousepad or something cause I used it in halflife and cs all the time and it has let me down one. But I did notice that when I had a shiny mousepad, it didn't work that well.

Watch out, I think this is an OEM mouse. Means, no box, no UPC to get the rebate, and no warranty. Although it is a great price if you don't mind the OEM version. I have this same mouse, best you can get, because the Explorer is a little bulky in my opinion. This one is also better for lefties than MS explorer. I personally got mine for regualar price at buy.com (I think)...it was like $38-$10 rebate...plus shipping, so somewhat over $30. You'll LOVE this mouse. I had one of those Logitech feedback mice before, it SUCKS because it's too small and seems to be made for a 5-year old.

how does it have jerky movements? The only times it has jerky movements, is when you JERK the mouse. THe Optical light can't track fast jerky movements. but if you play normally, especially a game likd cstrike you should be fine. now Quake 3, that's another matter....

It prints out on the receipt. Very long receipt I might add.

watch out, this might be a white-box OEM mouse instead of a retail version. then it wouldn't have a UPC and would not be able to be rebated.

Try to price match to other vendors like staples. Then you wouldn't have to worry about being it retail or not.

If you're gonna PM staples, I recommend you do it at a B&M becuase they might not charge the overnight shipping (which is $25 for this site). Yikes!

Um, this is no Explorer. It doesn't say that anywhere and the picture is of Intellimouse Optical. Also, click on BACK button under the mouse and it will take you to the menu where it shows that this IS OEM mouse. No rebate here.
