I dont know who I am more mad at right now... you or myself.
I read how it got run over and thought that I should have just sent you money to ship the kitten to me, as per someone else who posted here with a link for pet transit... and i thought, surely someone would step up and give this baby a home.
I mean, how hard is it to look after something that is less than 2ftx2ft? All you gotta do is feed it, water is, and keep it out of traffic!!!
Good Lord!! It was a baby... you couldnt keep it out of fvcking traffic??????....
I dont care if I make enemies on this board for saying this... but you suck for letting it get killed!!!!
No, you have a legitimate reaction, and I entertained similar thoughts at first, but I'm sure he feels really bad and it's probably a bit too soon to say such things.
!Whew!
Thanks for understanding where I am coming from. A bit too early, though..??? Perhaps... but I am steamed!!! If he feels bad, he should. I mean, come on... this was a baby!!!!
Now before anyone asks... how dare I... here is what I
do
so I am really mad at myself, too!! This was not a lifelong responsibility for an infant, or anything... it was a three pounder... needs food, water and someone to trust!!
I am mad, yes, and disappointed and very very sad!!
wtf????
you need to read...i kept it in my backyard(8ft high fences) and in my fvcking room at night, and my mom AND dad are allergic to cats even though w used to have one. i feed it, i took care of it, i could have thrown it out, but did i?
jesus christ, can you be anymore of an asshat?
i even had the fvcking heart to post it on a god damn forum but only to get this?
wow your unbelievable.
i did EVERYTHING i could for this cat. but its my fault for wanting to keep up unless devils advocate wanted it?
christ woman
I usually am not one to agree with karenmarie...however anyone that thinks they can keep even a declawed cat outside and in a yard is freaking mentally challenged. Even small cats can run and scale a fence 8 foot high.
If you are keeping a domesticated animal near any kinds of roads you keep it indoors, if you are keeping a dog chained in a backyard you best be able to monitor it if something gets in the yard, etc.
You didn't help the animal in anyway other than shorten it's life span....almost all places have no-kill rescues for young animals.
On the farm 40 years ago cats did roam...but they grew up outside and taught by other outside cats. Sure Fluffy wants to roam around town, but so does a 4 year old kid. If you have removed Fluffy's claws, she is even less suited for outdoors as she can't climb always, can't defend at all, and more than likely will think a predator is a friend.
Get educated before you get another animal.
If you are living at home and you can't have a cat then don't. Move out and do your own stuff. You do realize that you can be convicted of animal abuse and neglect for this very incident in most states? It's like the people that cry they adopted a cat from being euthanized but then couldn't afford to have it checked up when it got an infection....a neighbor sees a lump, calls animal reg and they see the lump and owner gets a ticket and a chance to keep the animal on probation.
You keep talking about it was an *accident* and you have all the little bleeding hearts here crying on your side...but say that cat was a 6 year old you left in your backyard that got out and killed, do you really think 'Hey it was just an accident, so bounce' is going to fly?
Think please! It was totally your fault this animal died regardless of your circumstances, take responsibility at least even if you didn't intend it to happen.
