*update* is it offensive if I single out the black guy @ work...

Why single him out though? Do you really think the black guy has some secret inside fried chicken information? I think that assumption alone probably is racist.

What makes applying stereotype racist?
Assuming a demographic prefers one type of food over another is not racist, it is purely statistics based on culture.

Well, I suppose a stereotype isn't necessarily racist. I'm applying the ultra PC version of "racist" here, where making any assumptions about anyone based on their race is racist. It's hard to get that version out of my system.

i was in the soda aisle at a grocery store last week with my kids. there were two black men making fun of the whole grape drank thing, it was funny to hear them making the same jokes most everyone else makes. they got even more hilarious when they saw the watermelon soda. they left with a 2 liter of each hehe.

I'm hoping that black people are getting on board with the rest of the ethnic backgrounds and accepting their stereotypes. Jews laugh at cheap jokes, Polish people laugh at backwards jokes, Mexicans laugh at migrant jokes -- it's good to have another race to laugh at themselves.

If we can just get middle-Easterners do the same thing without getting a freakin' Jihad issued against someone every 5 minutes, the world would be a better place.

First off, why would you single him out for just his opinion? Is it solely because he is black? If so, that's kinda racist.

Second, since when is liking fried chicken a bad thing? I've never understood this racial stereotype. "Black people have good taste in food. Take that!" It's stupid. EVERYONE LOVES FRIED CHICKEN.

You are an ignorant fool. There is no demographic preference, just racist imagery & entertainment. Do you have any of these "statistics on culture" on hand?

Wow, congrats. You quoted a single pansy liberal website that is poorly written and has no sources cited.

I don't need statistics to know black people like fried chicken.
Just like I don't need statistics to tell me that Mexicans like tacos.
It's part of their culture.

Do they like fried chicken MORE than caucasians based on percentage of their total population? I don't know.
The point is, most black people like fried chicken and it's not racist to say so.

You are a fucking racist idiot.

I think it would be harder to find someone who does not like fried chicken. It slams.

I don't particularly despise it, but I don't like fried chicken or any other chicken for that matter. It's easily been a decade since I've eaten any. To really blow your mind, I don't eat turkey either.
