If someone is texting you and its against your will, you can file a complaint to your cell phone provider. Someone tried to do that to my friend (would have cost him like $200) but he filed a complaint and Verizon threatened punative action and forced the dude to pay for hte texts.

You can text to mobile from Yahoo Messenger - I assume other IM proggies too :evil:
