That's a complete ripoff for extraction.....are they putting you under or something? I had all 4 of mine extracted and got put under and with my insurance was $500.

The only time I have to pay for anything dental related is if I want the optional super nice white fillings instead of the tin coloured ones. Meh.

I've had a cracked tooth for a while now. It's not even noticable though. I pointed it out to the dentist cause I can see it when I look really hard, but it took about a full minute for both he and the assistant to see it when they were looking for it. They said it's not a big deal though.

Ugh, this doesn't sound good. I just noticed a few days ago I have a cracked tooth. It doesn't hurt, but I'm sure it will if I let it go. It's the result of years and years of one of my bottom teeth hitting one of my upper teeth when I close my mouth. The bottom tooth has sharp point and has poked right into the upper tooth, wearing into the bottom. I guess the stress eventually got to it, and I noticed a crack running halfway up the tooth the other day.

Why would anyone do that on a wisdom tooth?

$725?? I had all my wisdom teeth out for around $600, 2 of the bottom ones were impacted, the top 2 insurance didnt cover, because they were nothing wrong with them, but my dentist wanted them out, since they are taking the bottom 2 out anyway. total cost for me was $200 for the 2 upper, and my insurance covered the rest, which was around $400.

From the Quote I was given the surgery/extraction itself is covered well (I would have to pay $12.80 per tooth) its the bone replacement that is expensive (I pay $186 per tooth) Anyone know if that is needed? If the bone replacement isnt needed it would knock nearly $400 bucks off the bill.

Had all 4 of mine pulled out, probably paid less then $400 (and that's with the deductible).

Must not be enough vitamin R in your rat malk.

Getting a broken wisdom tooth out is going to be a bitch btw look forward to stitches. Doesn't really hurt just takes a while to heal and is annoying getting food stuck in it and such.

insane. I don't even have insurance and it was less than half that for me to have two wisdom teeth removed.

bone replacement? wtf?

seek a second opinion, seriously. your own bone grows to fill in the holes at the extraction sites.
