The ipod is my only saving grace for my car ride home. I also know how well Ipods are packaged, and was hoping everything was fine. It still works, but not sure how long that's going to last...

Someone was probably jealous you were getting an Ipod and decided to smash the box.

Gurck? 😛

FedEx killed my 17 " iMac G5

Typical FedEx response "The shipper didn't put it in another box to protect it." Apple nice enough to exchange.

Noticing a pattern here...

only thing missing are the tire marks....

I've gotten a package via UPS that had tire marks on it. Was a framed print, dumbasses drove right over it. Between that and a few other incidents, I never ship anything UPS if I can avoid. Never saw anything like that from fedex before :Q

Wow, just wow.:Q The iPod was in many times its volume worth of protective packing, and they still whacked it. Any pictures of the iPod itself?

This is EXACTLY how i received the ipod. The Fed Ex guy said he's never seen anything like it and doesn't now how that could possibly happen. Being that I'm a nice guy, I signed for it and he marked it as damaged. He said if the product doesn't work, just to contact the shipper. The ipod turned on, but it's making a horrible clicking sound and the back plate is bent so much it fell off when I picked it up. Any chance of me getting a new one by this Friday? Doubt it =/

OMG! WTF happened to it?

The first 6 attempts to deliver the package via catapult failed miserably, forcing the fedex guy to get up and actually walk to your door.

Funny, that is how every Fedex package comes to me... hell, I even received a bolt and some nuts inside my ripped memory chip shipment once

this was delivered by the monster garage postal delivery truck...... with the cannon

Dang, looks like someone beat the hell out of it. You really should not have accepted the package. I doubt it was the driver's fault, likely happened at a distribution center.
