In the pics, it shows the heater core rad but the MCR220 with 2x120mm fans is on the way! I'll post new pics as soon as it gets here.

All I need now is tubing. I had tubing but it's 3/8", all the new stuff is setup for 1/2". In an effort to keep costs down, I'm not gonna use Tygon. Maybe some Masterkleer 7/16" or something similar. Any suggestions?

Muskerkleer gets my vote. I used it in my last set-up and was very satisfied. Just put the ends in boiling water before you try and slip them in the barbs.

ahhhh i see your gonna hard mount the gt. Is the GT prebowed? did the previous user bow it? If not email or call michelle @ swfitech and ask how much a bowing oring cost for the GT. shouldnt be more then a couple of dollars shipped.

The rad will get a good clean with vinegar before use, yes it is used.

I have no idea if the GT was bowed or not. Is there a way to tell, if I had to guess i'd say no. Got more info on it?
As for something from swiftech being a couple dollars shipped, I doubt that. I tried to get a couple of plastic barbs from them and the cheapest shipping was nearly $10.

EDIT: Good info on the mount. I bet that's the problem with my current ACF7Pro. I got one core that runs about 6°C high. After looking at that and my cooler, I think that is my troublesome pushpin. That's probably causing my poor OC's also! Man, I wish I had my stuff out of storage. I'd put on my 775 backplate mount in place of the push pins and give this ACF7Pro another try for 3.6G.

put a razor along side the copper block. If you see a bow, then its already bowed.

And this is why i say email michelle. The last time i requested a backplate i got it for 5 dollars shipped.

Use rubbing alcohol instead of vinegar. Vinegar reacts with copper, you don't want that. All you want to clean is the surface of the copper, not the copper itself.

Assembly has started. I test mounted the block and pump as well. So far i'm VERY pleased! I got tubing from the pump to the block and the T line in. I'm NOT happy with the way the T line is but it'll have to work for now. I'll probably re-plumb it all later with better/different tubing.

I should have taken pics of the block/pump setup before I put the side on but didn't think of it until after. Now I don't feel like pulling the side until I'm ready to plumb more!

nah you need to strip that oxidized layer also. it was sitting out since it was used, and most definitely the internal pipes have oxidized.

15min vinegar dip wont damage anything. Its the many many many hour dips that destory'd the radiators.

so how's it feel to be wet? it's a rush when you first power up, eh? especially when it is your own plumbing work your betting on. I have a box leak testing now but it won't be ready for at least a week, lots more wiring to go. How are your temps? better than air? Are you a little quieter? I see a new case and custom loops in your future! Congrats again.

Some of us mods don't have the time to have the uber rig like Aigo! **rimshot** We got too many spammers to ban!

This one isn't live yet, I let it run through the night for leak testing. So far so good! I'll mess with it more when I get home and if there are no puddles, the fire will be lit on it! All I can say for sure is, my goals have been met and I haven't even fired it up yet. This thing is SUPER quiet compared to my ACFPro and wind tunnel of fans. Any temp gains now are just all gravy.

So far so good!

Turned it up to a tad over 3.2G (Wasn't stable above 3.1 on air) and my load temps are 11°C lower full load. After I get all the kinks ironed out, I'll turn up the wick!

welcome to the darkside gill.

Since your OCD is simular to mine, your not going to be able to tollerate air temps anymore. As you can see how big the difference is between a medium tier water, and air.

Didn't realize the purse was there, I would have preferred to avoid that one. The Frilly place mat is from the corporate rental apartment I'm in currently, I'd rather ding those up with my PC case instead of scuff the table. I think replacing a mat is cheaper than a table. The business card was a mistake also. I don't want you people calling me!

Update:
32°C idle, 48°C full load with high fan settings running 3.2GHz@1.4v in bios, showing 1.336-1.360v after droop in cpu-z but it's under 50°C full load and prime stable after 4.5+ hours. Before, anything near 3.2GHz and trying to run prime would make the PC reboot itself instantly as soon as you hit started prime.

Hell, I let it run for a few hours at full load with the fans on the lowest setting and the temps only got to 54°C which isn't bad either. Plus ambient in this apartment is around ~27°C which is rather warm. The AC here sucks and there is poor airflow. I can't wait until we find a good house to buy and get everything finalized!

Given the amount of volts it took to get 3.2, I'm not sure if 3.5-3.6 will be attainable on this setup, whether it be the chip or board, I can't say for certain.

Interesting....

Ran prime for 5 hours and the temps started to fall slightly (opened the door to cool the apt a little) and core 2 (or 3 if you start with #1) failed again! It has the LOWEST temps and it's always the first to fail. It runs ~7°C cooler than the warmest core. I also think I need to tweak my vtt volts a bit, Auto isn't cutting it I guess.

Yeah, I get the same type of thing at 3.4. My Vcore is around 1.4 in the bios on my P5K-VM. As I said I'm putting together a new case and rebuilding, the v-droop a big item on my hit list, so at XS forums I found a pencil mod we'll see if it helps.
