UPDATE: GOT IT! Anyone ever have troubles removing a thermostat housing because of liquid sealant?

Or, pry on it using steady pressure. Keep the pressure on for a minute or two. Silicone sealant can't really be jarred loose.
I've done the pressure bit for a while but maybe 1-2 minutes couldn't hurt *shrug*.

Take the radiator hose off and stick a crow bar or something up in the neck and pry the bitch off. You may bend the hell out of it but it should come off. You can always get another one at a junkyard.
