I posted a thread on how my girlfriend recently got robbed (a lot of cash...)
Here's another update to the story
So, I was hanging outside my girlfriend's house, and the car that
matched the one that drove off with her cash was slowing crusing
around. I decided to follow it (I was able to get the license plate
number written down), but when it saw me, it made a U-turn...and I kept
going my way...trying not to attract notice.
After waiting a couple minutes I decided to go back to another part of
a street where I could see outside of her house and guess what I saw...
the car is stopped outside of the home idle .... I'm waiting for 7
minutes watching the car. No one gets out of the car.
So, I call my girlfriend and her brother to walk outside casually past
the car to see if she can visually confirm that, that was the car.
When they pass the car, the car drives off (doesn't that sound
suspicous??!...it really does to me).
I follow the car again. They really notice me...and again...pull off
to another road quickly and just stop...probably seeing if I will
follow more. I decide that...anything more will probably not be
safe..etc.
We give the information to the Sargeant at the Sheriff's department.
He's saying that we're paraniod and that they don't just run license
plate information. This really pissed me off.
We have a lead and they think we're crazy. How else can they solve a
repeat crime in this local area, if they don't even take what we say
seriously.
Is this protocol? I think the best way to get a case like this solved
is to take action while the facts are fresh?? Any advice to what steps
I should take next?
Here's the Story
============
My girlfried was robbed in front of her house. Apparently the
criminals followed her home. What happened was her tire was slashed
(probably by the
theives)...they were probably waiting for her to pull over to the side
of the road so that they could rob her.
But, she drove home...and they robbed her in front of her house (4k in
cash). They
were following her back from the bank (Washington Mutual).
This type of crime has happened in this area 10 times (number given by
local Sheriff's dept.).
