From a former Troll Hunter:

First, this guy violated Ebays TOS by not sending the pants. But, you violated the TOS even worse. You created Multiple IDs and bid on his stuff, now you are refusing to pay. You were very wrong in this issue. You need to pay up for those items you took a bad situation and made it worse. BTW, doesn't he also have multiple IDs, if so report that to ebay as well. In fact do the right thing and turn this whole issue over to Ebay and get both of your accounts yanked. You both screwed up big time, and you both ought to be sent to your room without dinner and punnished like little boys, because thaat is what you are acting like.

I have 2 minutes to get to my next class, so I'll just give you guys a quick udpate and read through everything when I get back tonight.

The crackhead seller just sent me an e-mail basically mocking me. He's taking the tone of "Ha ha you really can't do anything to me - i.e. you'd have to show up in Florida for court, which means you'd never make it down here; send us your lawyer's contact information (insinuating they doubt I have one - I don't :( ), neener neener neener."

Yeah, we're both acting like 10-year-olds now. Which makes me even more determined to screw him worse than he screwed me. Instead of figuring out how to get my money back, you guys could help me out by brainstorming ways of MAKING HIS LIFE MISERABLE. Fvck the pants, fvck the $17.50, it's all about REVENGE now. :|

With that, I'm off to ethics class. :p

AFAIK, you are allowed to have multiple accounts on ebay for selling different kinds of items. Creating accounts to screw around on bidding, however, is a different story.

What was the total for the other two items?

Take the highest road possible now.

1. Pay for the 2 items asap.
2. Ask for a confirmation of the tracking number on the pants.
3. Forget any sort of witty banter victory via email. Reduce any and all communications to the transaction(s).

May want to follow up your payment by forwarding copies of the receipts with a short note "This is to confirm payment on Item XXXXXXXXX"

It's not worth it to continue the line of behavior, especially over a damn pair of pants.

I'd venture to say it sounds like someone didn't learn their lesson.

My advice, call the guy, tell him you both screwed up. Ask for your first pair of pants that you have paid for. Tell him that upon recieving that pair of pants, you'll send him money for the other 2 items you bid on. And do so. This way you'll both make good.

Or offer to buy one pair + listing fees for the other. If you call him/email him and act reasonable, he might see his errors and compromise if you take the first step.

If you bid and don't pay, then you're a bad Ebayer...the worst that can happen is you lose that particular account.

And don't worry about all the threats he's making. A lot of people like to talk big online and do nothing

Out of class early, break before a meeting.

Geez, guys. Some of you would score really low on Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development.

Yes, I was a bad bidder by bidding on two of his auctions and -guess what?- I'm probably not going to pay for them if I don't get the pants. Bad cow, BAD. BUT, he was a bad seller by NOT CONTACTING ME FOR A MONTH after I paid, NOT replying to ANY of my e-mails, but suspiciously replying within minutes to send me payment info for the auction. He tried to screw me over once, tried avoid me, and got caught. I'll admit I made a mistake, but I think it's an understandable one.

One person had a good suggestion. I'll ask him to send me the pants that have been paid for. IF THEY GET HERE, and when they get here, I'll pay for the other items. I'm the good guy again, okay? So chill.

Now that that's been clarified - I still want to make his life miserable. Suggestions? :D

its bad enough that their are people who bitch and whine about thing they received and aren't very pleased. do not ever give them positive feedback for paying, as a seller I been screwed over twice or maybe three. it was unneccesary thought, they see that I was wide open for personal attack and took that advantages. this is the reason why most seller or all experienced seller do not give feedback as soon you paid for, they are smart. :)
why should I say paid for, good buyer only to be stabbed with: this seller sucks, a liar and should be avoided at all cost! These filthy people have no experience buying or selling at ebay and they do it once in a moonlight. they are very unprofessional and these are the kind of people that I would completely ignore, don't talk to them it not worth your time. if you're selling for say 10 bucks and they talk you down to 9 bucks, don't do it or they bitch about your price/shipping being too high put a block on them. I deal with those kind of a**hole and they are never happy.

And you're saying that you'd be showing behavior above Stage 2? ;)

<< Heheheh...it just hit me. You deserve all the pain you get for buying PANTS off eBay. Who in the f*ck buys USED PANTS from a stranger over the internet? I won't even wear my dad's pants.

I'm so sick of the word pants. Start repeating the word "pants" to yourself over and over - it starts to get funny after awhile.

Other funny words:

door
fork
spoon
orange
boob

1. Go to an adult bookstore and get the magazine subscription insert things for graphic adult magazines and fill them with his address.

2. Bid on all of his auctions - don't do buy it now. Just bid $1000, etc. so that it will waste his time because he would have to wait for the auction to end.

Truer words have never been spoken. (There is another post about what he is going to do in your pants but prudence dictates I not quote that one ;) )

Just go to Walmart and buy some Wranglers Jeans for US$14 bux. You don't need that fancy CRAP from some cat off the Internet.

Slash #2. He can cancel any and all auctions he[the seller] wants to.

Post his address on, *ahem*, questionable websites. Dance it all around the net.

At least, do this if he doesn't have YOUR address. If he does, well, never mind. :D

You guys think that is bad? Women sell their used underware on eBay, and PEOPLE BUY IT!

That just scares the heck out of me...
