I just went to my BB this morning and the Cordless Freedom Optical keyboard and mouse scan at $99.99. They did have the Elite keyboard which looks just like the Freedom Optical keyboard except with a cord for $49.99. I'm wondering if there was a screw up there and they priced the cordless combo set the same as the corded keyboard?

The other thing is that maybe it was just on sale this weekend through Labor Day? For those of you that got this deal, did it say anything about a Labor Day sale?

gwlam12: We are wanting a scan of your receipt (or anyone else's that got in on this deal) to show either BB or CUSA, so we can buy it straight at BB or get CUSA to PM it. I can't PM anything at CUSA without proof that BB has this set for $49.99

Hi again. After I returned from BB the first time and reread this thread, I called another BB that was a little further way from me. I read off the product number to the guy in the computer dept and he said that the price was marked at $49.97 on the shelf tag, but they didn't have any more in stock. I then hopped back in my car and headed down to the first BB because they had 4 sitting on the shelf (I thought that they had 4). I was all prepared to have the CSR call the other store to verify the price and when I got there, I noticed that the combo that they had in the store was called something different. I can't even remember the name of it now, but it had the same contents in a slightly different box, with a different product number and name.

Anyway.. I headed out to yet another BB (inbetween the first BB and the one that I called) and found one sitting on the shelf right next to the $49.97 price tag. It was the last one and it had been opened, but all that I really wanted was to buy it, so I could go down the road with the receipt and PM to the CUSA, so I could get the rebate on top of the price. I got up to the checkout after waiting in a long line (I thought everybody went back to school already?) and it rang up $99.99. The cashier said that he would have to verify this considering that it was half price, so instead of waiting for someone in the computer dept to verify the price, I offered to just go grab the shelf tag. After I handed the cashier the shelf tage, he then reluctantly rang it up at the reduced price and I was out of there. Finally. The guy said that it was a great deal. Heh.. Tell me something that I don't already know. What bugged me about this male cashier was that he was wearing makeup. Freak! How does he get away with that being a BB employee? It was only foundation, but still.

Well.. I headed down the road to CUSA, grabbed a LCFOK off the shelf and headed up to the register. The CSR was sort of an as* and gave me a lot of cr*p. He also made a couple of trips back and forth between the managers office. He finally got approval to give it to me at the $49.97 price. He said that he doesn't regularly do this when there is a rebate involved. Whatever..

So.. I got my $49.97 - $30 MIR rebate = $19.97 + tax LCFOK&M (Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical Keyboard and mouse). It was the toughest deal that I've done in quite some time, but it was definitely worth it.

Yippee!! Thanks so much for posting this!! I had purchased this Keyboard and mouse combo last year for nearly full price and ended up taking it back because I didn't think it was quite worth it, but at this price, it's certainly worth it. It's even a great deal at $49.97! H*ll.. The mouse alone is that much $$.

Sal

PS.. Now, if I only had a scanner, I'd scan my receipt. Sorry.. :(

um.. the receipt shows the.... price?

Regardless if the receipt has the price. THEY STILL NEED TO KNOW IF BB HAS IT IN STOCK OR NOT. If BB did not have it in stock, they would not PM it for you.

Not necessarily. The CUSA that I went to didn't bother to check stock at BB. Then again, I showed up with an original BB receipt dated today with a time stamp 7 minutes prior to walking into CUSA.

Is it me or is this thread sounding like a Brag and Moan thread. This is a major YMMV deal. For the ones that got in on this deal share a scan of the receipt...please!

You're lucky then. Some workers don't care and just PM either way. Some are more stingy =P.

Another way to get a good deal is to pricematch bestbuy with office max 115% price match and then use a $20 off $50 office depot coupon. Thats what I did because CUSA wouldn't match the price.

Crapusa now lowered it to $49.99 after rebate. I guess now BB's PMs will not work. Any other ways of bringing this down to $19.95?

There is no reason for flaming at people! First of all, I called all the BB's in the area and they all said that it's a bunch of crack, because the wired version is selling for $49.99, not the wireless. So, even if some of the nice people here link the scanned receipt, it's of no use, since the CUSA would need to contact any local BB to verify, and at that point the whole thing will fly out of the window! Secondly, optical is absolutely correct, the advertized deal at CUSA clearly sais that the price is 49.99 (even though it's after rebates it is still 50). The $30 rebate is for CUSA ONLY, thus is part of the price, because BB does not have such rebate! Take it easy people and contain your temper, please! :)

No go in Dallas Texas. The price scanned today is $99.99 instead of $49.99. I guess it was a two day special which ends last Monday.

looks like this deal is dead. My local BB has this for $99.99 now, but they add a $50 MIR starting from today (until 7/9). So right now deal is, buy at BB then PM with compusa's $79.99, so the final should be $29.99.

I went to both BB today in my area ($99) and both have no inventory, will have to check outside the area, 29 bones is still a good deal IMO
CompUSA had plenty in stock / Sacramento area
