*UPDATE first post* This news article from CNN may disgust you, as it disgusted me.

StageLeft

No Lifer
The reason it disgusts me to the depth of my dark soul is that it is an entire article on NOTHING. read me. The basic gist is that there was an entirely uneventful weapons inspection and they went through the story as if it's some important news that we're all supposed to digest. The article is headed with "shaky start", but nothing in the article gives any indication that it was shaky in the least.

In other news I went to the toilet 90 minutes ago. I had no problems. I expect to go again later.

These weapons inspections will take months. Is CNN going to make an equally useless infomation-devoid article on it every time? I can't even say it's making a mountain out of a mole hill because there is no hill. Not even a speck of dirt raised up from the flat. And this was on the front page!

EDIT: LOL!!!! Read the NEW article up on CNN: Here
Arms inspectors making their first searches for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq in nearly four years completed Day One of their work Wednesday and were pleased with the government's cooperation.
Who the HELL Is running CNN today?!

My dear Skoorbie, I don't think this is the first time CNN has done this!

Are you really bored at work or something? Go ask for something to do for Heaven's SAKE!

Orientation continues next week...had some this week...then on to the real thing! 🙂

So, if they roll out of their base, as they did this morning, and they take a wrong turn, they're not able to stop and ask somebody where is such and such, because that's going to give the Iraqi officials an idea of where they're going, and perhaps a head start to do something at that site.

That's cuz a man is driving... we men dont need no steenkin directions!

I feel the good times coming? Did you work as a nurse in Canada before you went down to Alabama? One of my best highschool friends is a nurse up here in Vancouver and he always has some cool stories to tell 😀

Have fun & good luck with the new job 😀

I don't know Skoorb this part is probably what they are talking about:

But after that, things sort of went downhill a little bit. There was a lot of confusion. The inspectors split off into two teams. That's what they had planned to do. One headed to the west of Baghdad. We followed the team to the east of Baghdad.

They kind of got a little bit lost, and it's different for these inspectors, because they can't stop and ask anybody where is so and so, because these are no-notice inspections. But eventually, they found their way, and within half an hour, they were going into the first site at 9:00 in the morning.

ROFL! I think you're right. That article is absolutely offensive to me in its stupidity.
