Anyone get this to work with Vista? They have a supposed Vista upgrade but its not working for me and their tech support is worthless so far in helping me out

I had my MJ working with Vista 64.

MJ is picky about what programs it'll work with.

Try the UOMJ forum😀

Tech support came right thru for me.
They were apparently able to determine that I had defective wiring in the walls.

I got my MJ yesterday. Chrome looking with see through window. Haven't installed it yet. Will soon tho.... Kinda reminded me of an ipod look... Fingerprint magnet!

I got a magicjack recently (not on this deal), and I like it a lot. I've had some occasional calls where the other person was stuttering, and occasional bursts of noise/static on the line, but overall, call quality is good. Some minor stuttering is caused when I have my downloads maxed out and I try to make a call, it's like cell service that isn't very good sometimes. Other times, it's just fine. I've also had one problem with connections, not being able to hear the other person on the line. Restarting the MagicJack program fixed that problem.

When I ordered, I was given the option to purchase premium service for five years, for $50. I took the offer, and for ~$96 total, I have phone service until 2013! Can't beat that. I just hope that this company stays in business. It's product is sound though.

Which version of Vista? Mine would not install right away so I just followed the instructions that came with it and did the upgrade. After that it worked great. Really easy to set up and got my phone number right away. Seems to work pretty good so far. Very clear. I did experience some weird delays but I think it was just my cordless phone, it worked fine from a different wired phone. Also of note I'm connected wirelessly to a cheap DSL line too.

I'm pretty happy with it.

Oh, almost forgot to mention the "dongle" that comes with it now so the jack itself isn't sticking directly out of your USB port. Very good IMHO so that you won't bust off the end accidentally. I had read something about them losing connection because good ol gravity eventually loosened the connection. This should help that.

Thats crap, for me I'm saying. I try the "upgrade" and it gives me the same error. WARNING: Magic jack needs to be plugged in or something. First it says something completely retarded like "LUCKY YOU WE ARE UPGRADING" and then 2 seconds later "WARNING"

This thing is a POS I am very unhappy. Its not like I am computer illiterate, I'm very technical even as far as technical people go

AMDZen, I had the same problem while installing on XP and MJ customer service made me to reboot the gateway router to fix the issue. Looks like MJ device tries to bridge over the PC and it doesn't get connected properly unless we reset the main router.

Can you please try it ?

Yea what a waste of money. If only I had read the EULA, instead I wasted 30$ on something that doesn't work and something I wouldn't of wanted at all had I read that.
