Rebate says this: Offer not valid on any Compaq PCs, Monitors, and Printers or Notebook PCs purchased through club/warehouse retailers.

Is Staples a "warehouse"??

Is Staples a "warehouse"??

Nope - usually refers to Costco / Sam's Club / Price Club / BJ's - you get the idea. :)

Someone please PM the $30 off coupon to me also.

If you are looking for a 19" flat screen, you can go HERE and get a 19" flat screen NEC FE950+ monitor (0.25mm dp) for $50 more.

$399.98 - $100 - $30 - $150 = $119.98

Pretty sweet deal too...

EDIT

Never mind, I just read the rebate and it only applies to MV Series, FS Series or FP745A Monitors... :(

AZRagtimeCowboyJoe,

Could you PM me the coupon code that you used which included free shipping with the $40 off? I'd really like to make this deal work if possible.

Also, has anyone confirmed whether the $100 IR is still good or are we going to have to try and pricematch?

Thanks,
Jeff

I just got off the phone with Staples and they wanted to add shipping ($53) to compuvest for the PM.
278 after PM
- 7 (10% of 349-278)
- 40 (coupon)
- 150 (rebate)
--------
81 + tax

Has anyone been able to PM without the shipping?

FYI: I picked one up on 4/7 at a B&M. They still gave me the 100 IR (ended 4/6) and the 30 coupon. I splurged and got the extra warranty for an extra $10. With the speakers and microphone included, this is a good deal even at ~100 (including tax and extra warranty)

Being fairly new to this game, do I place the order first and then pricematch or do I can and pricematch a deal before ordering?

Thanks,
Jeff

Just talked to Staples.com and they would price match but they also add in compuvest.com's next day air which is $240. Definately no deal there. Oh well, maybe I'll try again later.

How about to have Blue PM it? The rebate here should be a less significant issue and seems the WD harddrive already got through. Any idea?

Deal is still on, at least at B&M. I walked in yesterday and they had the "old" sign up. The coupon code on the advertisement for the 100 instant rebate still worked and she typed it in no problem. I showed her a couple of pricematch printouts showing the monitor in stock and that it was the same new retail item. I somehow "forgot" to print out a page showing how much shipping costs. Per Staples policy, she tried to add $5 shipping and handling for unknown shipping costs, but for some reason it didn't seem to take. I asked if I could use another coupon but she said I couldn't. I probably could have pressed the issue but she had mentioned all the people "abusing" the deals so I let it slide. Besides, the fine print on my printable coupon says you can't use it in this case anyways.

Final cost: 349.98 - 100 (IR) - 27.48 (PM) + 12.75 (Tax) - 150 (MIR) = 85.29

Entering in the S/N on Compaq's website confirms that MIR is good.

Just be extremely nice when trying to work the deal B&M and you'll have a much easier time, IMNSHO.
