I was just watching Fox News and it was reported that they have found chemical and biological weapons.



btw, they gave an estimate of 100,000 iraqi soldiers dead in this war so far

And I've yet to see a decent link discussing the Iraqi military casualties.

And, afa the chemical weapons...I'm not going to hold my breath. Look at what happened earlier with the discovery of the thousands of boxes of white powder.

100,000 dead and not a single wounded soldier. Amazing.

I'd like to know where that figure came from. I have serious doubts as to its veracity.

erm... thats just a number i heard on fox news just barely. It was on the O'Reilly factor, and it was one of his guests that said the number. As soon as i find a link ill post

I wasn't attacking you. That figure just sounds unreasonable for a war that has only lasted for 2 weeks.

Common sense would seem to dictate that there is no way to come up with anything like an accurate figure of Iraqi military deaths. Many Iraqi units have been "decimated', but that doesn't mean that they were all killed. Many of them may have changed into their civvies and gone home.

Just speculating, as are the pundits.

I dont think the military wanted pictures of two Marines hauling him over a sand dune, consulting their GPS, and then throwing him into the sand after they reach the border. It would just look rediculous. :p

These numbers come from the CIA. Its a realistic number.

As for Geraldo, they couldnt have kicked him out of Iraq. They could have removed him from the unit he was with. He wasnt embedded, he was there on his own, but shmoozed his way in with the 101st, they couldnt have physically forced him to leave Iraq. He left because hes not and idiot and knew he could easily get killed if he wasnt with US troops.

I do believe the Pentagon line was (paraphrase) "he's leaving the country . . . he just doesn't know it yet." NBC couldn't run fast enough from Arnett but FOX is apparently proud of Geraldo.:confused: If FOX reports that Murdoch has more money than God (and a better personality) I would certainly believe that they believe it . . . I just wouldn't attach any credibility to their evidence.

As much as I hope they found actual chemicals, is it possible they are referring to the vials of white powder that were confirmed not to be chemical agents?
