UPDATE: CAUGHT. [video] hot coffee thrown at donut shop worker

I know it's not the point anymore, but the video doesn't go back far enough to where he walks in so we can determine if he paid?

Doesn't surprise me a bit. People don't want to get involved - after all, no good deed goes unpunished, right?

exactly... not only for the potential of getting sued, but who wants to get f'n stabbed over someone else's $2.25. And I'm talking about any similar situation... suspects aren't always dressed like that so you just never know.

"Yesterday, a father of 3 and loving husband died of his wounds when he tried to stop a man and his friend from leaving a store after not paying for his $2 sandwich."

It's great when you do a good deed and don't get hurt, but you can never guarantee that. Don't be an internet hero.

Why are these videos almost always of black people?

And who cares whether or not he already paid? Throwing hot coffee on someone just isn't acceptable.

Was never about the money, it was an aggravated assault. I've taken my lumps but I don't sit idly by and let stuff go like that. I sleep well at night.
Yesterday was good example. I saw this guy "disciplining" his kid. It looked questionable, but I stayed the hell out of that. I MMOB just fine but what was in that vid was despicable.

Getting a license plate number for the cops isn't likely to get you stabbed. That one critical piece of information might have landed that asshat in jail already. Instead, he won't be arrested until he does it again, or something similar.

Another shinging example of the great folks that live in Philly. I hope they find that bitchass motherfucker.

I don't get the being sued part, good samaritan laws or or citizen's arrest covers that. Bodily harm is obviously another thing but you can get involved without a physical altercation. Get the license plate, a good description, photo, or anything else that may help the cops.
