Hi all,

Since this thread is at least 2 posts and over a 1000 msgs, I know we'll all miss it when it finally goes away but let's keep it alive awhile longer, and save a few more bucks. =)

Ordered my S330 from Dell on 04/17/02 with an expected ship date of 05/30/02. However, I just checked and it shipped on 04/30/02 via free FedEx Air Overnight, and was received on 05/01/02, whee! For any of you with a later than expected ship date, I encourage you to check your order status at Dell.

Anyways, ordered using my Amex Blue. According to Dell's website, my order shipped and was invoiced on 04/30/02. According to Amex's website, account activity shows the Dell order being invoiced on 05/01/02. Now, I'm not sure if the camera will drop below the $310.26 that I ordered at within the 60 days BVG period, but I'm not sure I'm eligible given my Amex statement. Didn't BVG items have to be invoiced by 04/30/02. I guess I could complain and send Amex copies of my Dell invoice that show my invoice date as 04/30/02.

In any case, please keep us AmexBlue peeps who were invoiced before the BVG cutoff of any lower prices you may spot, and help keep this deal hot for awhile longer.

Wow, in stock on Dell's site for the s200.
I wonder what that really means for those
who have ordered this before.
Especially when the CSR says it won't ship
till 5/30/2002.

Good news is only if they start shipping to those that pre-ordered months ago ... well, we'll see if the bar on this post' S200 poll starts moving in the right direction. People who got them, please update the poll.

Ok, called the CSR of Dell just now.
He directed me to the sales people, since they
have the lastest information.

As of now for those who have ordered the s200
they are estimating ship dates within 7 days
for those who have ordered 4/1/2002 or prior.
I've called many times before and got different
dates for shipping.
The guy mentioned that they are being dropped
shipped from Canon, or one of Canon's distributors.
In anycase, they said to check back on Monday to make sure.
I'll keep you all posted.

My order status online is still: "Delayed Call for latest ETA"

Called the sales department and was told that DELL do have the cameras (S200) in stock now. When I inquired about when I'll be receiving my camera, I was told that I should receive it by next monday.

A few mins later, I called the phone number that comes with the "delay notification email" (1-800-847-4098 x66966) and asked for my order status. Sean (the CSR I spoke with) said that DELL is still waiting for shipment(s) from Canon. I told him that a sales person just confirmed that the cameras are in stock and asked if he could verify the truth. He checked, I presume, DELL's real-time inventory and confirmed that the cameras are indeed in stock. And he added that I should be receiving it soon ("give it till monday" was what he said).

Just hope that the shipments they receive from Canon is enough to fulfil all back-ordered orders.

My S200 order was cancelled (losers) and I had to get the CSR to replace it, so I assumed I was at the end of the line. My estimated ship date was 6/4/02.

But... It shipped today! Via FedEx, since I get the free overnight shipping.

So I'm thinking that they're shipping out the overnight one's first, regardless of when you ordered.

5. My order status online has said call for ETA for the last month and today it finally is updated with a tracking number.

The tracking number doesn't show up on the brown website yet.

Phew - I don't beleive it.

S200 - ordered 4/1. Est Date of shipping 4/24. Got cancelled. Restated the order and ETA of 7/29. Yeah ----- NO KIDDING ME - July 29 for a stupid camera. And guess what, they shipped it today.

I guess Dell finally got a truck load of these things to ship today
