Hey everyone...looking around the internet retailers it appears as though Canon will be shipping the S200 real soon. In fact, the S200's are already available in Canada.

My guess is that we will see some of these units next week. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

To the people who already have S330s...... How easy/difficult would it be to pocket this camera? I have a Nokia 5165 and I'm always carrying it in my pocket w/o a hassle. I don't mind it being large because that means it'll stay in my pocket. Anyways, i'd carry it in my jacket pocket if i ever have the need to sit down in what may be a bumpy ride.

I know that this camera probably won't sit well in the pockets of jeans, but would it be a problem with OP shorts?

Okay, I have the nokia 8290 and here's how the s330 compare:

size 3 8290 = 1 s330
weight 4 8290 = 1 s330

So i take it that I can't pocket the camera..... damn. I was hoping I was buying something I can just tote around in my pockets. I could probably fit it in my coat pocket, like RossMAN says, but I usually don't even wear a coat (gotta love San Diego weather). Well, 310 for this camera is still one hell of a deal. I love Anandtech..... hell, I'm the duke.

Hey, just wondering for those who have a s330 camera at the moment. There seems to be a loose part in the camera when you shake it. At least this is what happens to me. This is even with the battery and CF removed.

Anyone else have this experience? What is it?

I have the horrible luck of having my order delayed everytime. I ordered this on the 17th, that's when i got the first email. I didn't get my second email until the 22nd. When I bought the Z560s a while ago, I ordered them and it took dell 8 days to send me my second email. Maybe it's because I always order late at night? I simply don't know.

to correct myself in an earlier post:

the S330 = 1.5 nokia 8290 phones in terms of size (mostly thickness). If you don't know about or havent seen an 8290, do a search on google.

the s330 = 3 nokia 8290 in terms of weight.

conclusion: it IS pocketable but kinda heavy. Still, I have no problem carrying it. It will be too heavy for your shirt pocket though.

I have been following and researching the poweshot line since the beginning. Still, I really dont see such a big deal with 1x zoom. I would even pick a s110 over a s330. You want a camera that you can use, and for me, a pocketable one makes all the difference. Whats the point of getting 1x zoom if you dont use it as often. Now, some people might not mind the size factor. But for those that are even considering it, dont be impatient, we all know that if dell never had the preorder and only the regular order once it actually comes out in may, that we would still be all over this deal regardless if it came 2 months after the s330. I even bet many of us would regret purchasing the s330. just my 3 cents.....

I used both the S110 and now the S330.

The 1X more zoom is more than one might think. Beforehand I didn't think 1X more zoom makes any difference either, but once I used both on the same subjects I can really tell the difference.

However, I don't know if the size difference is worh the 1X more zoom.

Still debating on which one is better...

Well, I got tired of wondering if this camera is or isn't pocketable, so I made a 3.7x2.5x1.2 box out of printer paper. Basically, the camera is smaller than a KodakMAX HQ camera (one of those one-use cameras). Same height & depth, but about a half-inch more narrow. For those of you with a Nokia 5165 (us cheap-@$$es), stand the phone up-right, if you set the camera on its side to be tall instead of wide (to match camera's dimensions), the height reaches the middle of the nokia emblem, add a half-inch to the width of the phone and like 1/8 inch to the depth of the phone and you have the camera. Basically, stick one of them fat "SUPER" Sharpies on the side of the phone, cover up whatever's past the nokia emblem (a good 1.25" from the top, not counting the antenna!) and you have the camera. Any local bestbuy or CC will have the nokia 5165 to look at. Pick it up and add your thumb to the side. This phone is also supposedly six ounces and the camera is 8.4, so just imagine the phone plus the weight of that pen or a pair of scissors. If that phone isn't at the stores, i can compare it to something else, :). okay, have fun with your cameras if you have them already. I will sit here and wait for mine.
