Just got it, has samsung chips.

Question: going to do the kingston rebate, they want the packing slip and upc, I didn't get anything else but the packing slip and the ram. What upc, where?

You mean the color label/sticker that says Valueram and KVR133X64C3/128 and the small barcode?

The upc is not the UPS shipping label, is it? It's that color label/sticker on the container that has the manuf# and barcode?

bfavre,
yes, that's correct. It's that color label/sticker on the container that has the manuf# and barcode.

So we just have to buy the RAM by the 31st right? We don't have to send in for the rebate for 30 days right? Because I don't think I would be able to get the rebate if I bought the RAM now, and it needs to be postmarked by the 31st.

You just need to have the rebate postmarked within 30 days of purchasing the memory. As long as your invoice is dated within the month of January, you are all set.

I have done 3 or 4 Kingston-based rebates so far, and have received every one of them without a problem. Just be smart and keep a copy of the filled-in rebate form, packing slip, and UPC.

I ordered one for me to take myself up to 384MB. I also ordered one for the mother-in-law. She is still running at 32MB on Windows 98 - good thing she called me last night and asked why her computer was running so slow (that and she only had 6MB of hard disk free).
