UPDATE:

Thankfully, the bumper was repairable. Go local body shop that we're in good with.

Repairs will be closer to $500.

Pwned
x2

:(

You can thank my younger sister for that one. Right now it's sitting in the driveway bumperless, as a local body shop tries to save the remains of that back end. Still perfectly driveable, pure cosmetic damage.

New bumper is CDN$1200 plus paint.

A truck, which apparently had zero damage to its oh so pretty front grille. HEMI > VTEC. :p
Backed out of a driveway and right into it, so the story goes.

Get a used bumper. I got in a hit and run where a guy hit me from behind at about 25 mph. Didn't do anything to the frame, just did the same thing to my bumper. I just bought a used bumper and took it to my preferred shop. Total cost was $150 US dollars.

Plus paint and taxes.

Add that to the $500 she owes my parents for smacking the family van in a mall parking lot stroke of brilliance, and you get enough change left over in her savings account for a fvcking bus pass since that's going to be her mode of transit from now on.

Hard to find used bumpers for 04's, unfortunately.

I toyed with the idea of getting a ricer-esqe bumper since it would be cheaper, but tossed that out as soon as I sobered up. :p

You're nuts M4H!!!

My insanity has nothing to do with this incident, you know that. :p

My parents decided that "she would be okay taking it out" whilst I was away taking the fiancee back to university (her parent's van, not enough cargo room obviously) - splat. :|

Was wondering how long that would take.

And no. I'm sure with her ... *ahem* "interesting choice of friends" though ... you won't have to look hard to find them in the future.

Sucks about the car. I know about younger siblings taking the wheels out. I had a Jeep Wrangler I left at home (didn't feel like towing it when I moved). I got a call from my brother one night. He decided to take out the Jeep and show off to some friends. The call was that he was stuck in a mud hole. I was 400 miles away, so I'm not going to be able to get it out. Props to my cousin for pulling him out. My bro's still paying me back for that little stunt.
