EDIT: They modified this deal, it used to be you could use this coupon off the whole year rate 🙁

Well now it's just an ok deal if you want to test a host...

The plan is 7.98 a month and you get 99% off.

Grr.. they changed it.. they had a yearly option for around $80 that you could use the 99% off coupon on and get the year for around 80 cents.... I am guessing that too many people used it... 🙁

Because when you transfer it, you get an additional year. So you're basically getting a domain registered for 2 years at the price of 1 year.

I got my domain for .23cents. When you sign up and choose a domain, at the final cost it adds the domain cost and the first month cost and then takes 99 off or whatever. So all you need to do is cancel before the next month, and you get to keep your domain, for .23 cents. They let you change your nameservers, so you shouldn't need to transfer........

So you've had experience with serverplex.com?
 
I talked to one of their Reps, and all you do once signed up is open a ticket and request the nameservers you want. At .23 cents, theres nothing to worry about anyways. As someone else said, if you were to ever transfer it, you get 2 years for the price of one. They changed my friends domain nameservers to what he wanted, and he's all set. Im going to use the hosting for a month then change mine.

No big deal, just a good offer. If you need a 23 cent domain, this is for you.
 
What about when the year is up, and you need to renew your domain? What charges would you be looking at and what problems could there be?

When the year is up just transfer the domain to someone else. These serverplex guys are good people. You can talk to Jose live on their site. He will help you with any questions you may have.

Also, when you pay for the 23 cents, it doesn't put you into a paypal subscription, so you don't have to worry about them charging you later on.
 
I am totally wowwed by the price drop of hosting nowadays. During the internet-crazy era, price of hosting is high, now it's even cheaper than getting a pizza per month.

"Hi:

Yes, it is still available. If you signup the domain with the 99% OFF the domain will be owned by us for a period of one year. If you pay the full $15 registeration fee, the domain will be yours.

Thought so. Very few companies would let you keep the domain at a loss. The $15 is actually a realistic price, as it covers their cost for 2 years.
 
I was told by Jose something else. But anyways. They are the ones that are going to be screwed once I cancel and their out $15 dollars for a domain they bought. They would probably just end up giving you it. But Jose, this support staff, is giving out false information. Guess this is a BAD deal after all.
 
Damn, I accidently entered my old phone number and it said it was trying to call my number to verify I'm me but then it failed (obviously)
I don't see any option to fix my phone number. Any ideas on how to proceed? I tried to call but the sales extension just goes to a voicemail box.
