Nice product. Seems like there's a deal for this every couple of weeks. This is the best price I've seen, I paid $92 after rebate 6 weeks ago. Nice find :D

dont bother with this if you want to sare big files over a network, the new standard is out with 54meg wirless connections, otherwise, for internet use, this is fine and a good deal.

I jumped on this one. I had come across the rebate about a month ago and the cheapest I could find it for then was $120 AR shipped. I held off because I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money and now I'm glad I did. Ordered one for home and one for the office. I haven't used this particular model but I've used the DI-713 I believe which is a very similiar model without the print server and have been very satisfied.

I've been in the market for a wireless router, and I saw Amazon lowered their price on the D-Link DI-614+, the new 22MBPS Wireless router! Out of pocket cost was $115.16 - $5.00 Coupon = $110.16 ... Cheaper than your out of pocket cost for the DI-713P. However, there's no Mail in Rebate on the DI-614+, you do get a 4-port instead of 3-port switch, but you lose the print server. The biggest plus to this though is if you buy a compatible wireless card, you can potentially get 22Mbps. A review of the USRobotics version of the new 22Mbps chip designed by Texas Instruments confirmed that you do get double the bandwidth you would normally get with a normal 802.11b router.

Here's a review of the USRobotics WAP which should perform similarly to the D-Link router since they both use the same chip:

In my opinion, this is worth the $30 or so you're "losing" to get the extra bandwidth and extra coverage area.

If anyone has a 711 and is willing to work out some sort of deal to get this instead, I'd be interested in a 711. I have giftcards I can use to buy the 713p, but the 711 fits better with my needs and budget.

I bought this router from Dell a month or so ago for $97 after rebate. It's extremely easy to configure and has been reliable so far. I especially like the print server since I don't have to fire up my main computer anymore to print. Highly recommended.

Amazon is OOS, not a price raise yet. $199 is Circuit City price.

Oshelef, I may be interested if they become available again.

its late but can anyone confirm that the 614+ router can be used w/ a DSL connection. I know it seems obvious, but oddly enough, no where in the docs for the 614 does it actually state it will work with a DSL/cable connection.

The 614/613 all clearly state they work w/ DSL/cable connections. Since they're all wireless broadband routers- the 614 should work w/ DSL right?

If I need to return the item then send me an RMA number. If that's the case, I will try to avoid purchasing from you in the future. I always thought Jeff Bezos was a smart businessman who cared about his customers.

Would you please send me his email address so that I can bring this matter to his attention. I'd like to have him tell me that this is Amazon's policy."

They responded to my last email with a statement reaffirming their policy regarding rebates. I'm going to send it back. There are several choices to select from when you return it. Basically if you select one that says you just don't it, then they deduct the shipping charges from your refund. If you select that the product was defective, then they pay the shipping and you get a full refund.

I'm having a few pangs of conscience about saying it is defective, but on the other hand I'm pi$$ed at them for putting me through this. Any suggestions?

It's not new...there's two 802.11 standards...A and B. 802.11a lacks range, but supports faster file transfers. 802.11b has a longer range, but only does 11 meg max transfers. There's a new enhanced 802.11b format that does 22 meg transfers, but you have to have special equipment to support it (I think US Robotics came up with it by modifying their old X2 technology).
