bill, i think you can use the 200-pin SODIMM. DDR PC2100 (CT3264X265) on dell inspiron 8200. I remember there was some discussion about this.

I am about to buy some PC2100 DDR memory for my Inspiron 8200. I just feel safer buying it from Dell than a 3rd party. Only problem is--it is out of stock and doesn't ship for 1-2 weeks! My laptop will be here Wednesday--I can't wait that long! Are there any good coupons besides the 15% available for Crucial right now?

i think the 15% off coupon is the best coupon for crucial right now. they had a 20% off coupon but it only lived for a few days.

Alright, next question from me about Crucial...On their website, it says:

"Note: To protect our company against abuse of this (return) policy, Crucial reserves the right to charge a restocking fee (up to 20%) at our discretion. "

Does anyone have any experience with returns to Crucial and their "20% restocking fee charged at their discretion" policy?
