UPDATE 6/2: I'm getting a puppy!! PICS!

After 11 wonderful years, my beagle died. She was in good health and the morning after her regular evening walk, she woke up, walked 3ft, and died. Tragedy struck our family. She lived with my parents and their beagle, who didn't understand that her friend wasn't coming back from the vet this time.

While my mom has said she's not ready for another dog, my dad is and their beagle has been sad and acting weird ever since.

A few days ago I was looking around and stumbled upon a breeder who had half beagle, half blue heeler (Austrailian cattledog) mix puppies. The mix wasn't intentional, but the puppies are adorable.

On Saturday she's flying in from St. Louis to Los Angeles where I'll go to pick her up. 🙂 Everyone in the family knows, except my mom. She's going to love the suprise!!

Here's a pic of her:

Small update:

I acquired a pic of her sister. She looks more heeler than beagle. Still very cute.

Spoke with my mom last night, who is still in tears of our beagle dying. I told her their beagle needed a companion and she said she was not ready for a puppy. hahaha Too late now!

Flight is arranged, she'll be in LAX at 12:09pm. 🙂 I can't wait!!

Awww 🙂

And I'm sorry about your old dog

Thanks for the kind words. 🙂

My dog ended up living with my parents when I moved out of state. When I came back, she stayed with them because she had a companion there -- my parent's beagle.

Wow! That's a long ways for a beagle to travel. Are you covering traveling costs for the breeder or does she happen to have a trip planned out there anyways?

I'm sorry about your beagle baby, too. We're never ready to lose our companions.

I love the coloration on the puppy though!

I paid $100 for her. $250 for her plane ticket.

She'll be traveling alone on a 4 hour direct flight. I don't live in Los Angeles, so I'm driving there to get her. American Airlines has a special pet tranportation service, so she will travel in a climate controlled part of the plane. From my understanding, she gets to ride with the flight attendants. 🙂

I'm sure they will love having her onboard. 🙂

awww, she is soo cute, any chance of knowing where exactly you get the puppy? you can shoot me pm if you dont want to say it here. I have a male maltese and sorta looking for a friend for him.

thanks man.

Yes, I got her from a breeder in Iowa. They normally don't breed beagles, but this mix was not planned. They are just turning 8 weeks and I know the have 1 more female and I'm not sure how many males.

If you want specific info, pm me and I'll get you their numbers.
