UPDATE. I just changed settings to 12x166!!! Have oem 2100+ 0306. Ran prime for 20min and watched temps. Went up to 36 but thats it. 32c right now as i type this. Also ran 3dmark2001 and score went from originall 12000 to 13299. YEA. Now can i keep it like this and run it fine for games and all 24/7. BTW it read 2400+ and cupid reads 12x167.05 2004.54mhz. What ya think
DID not sync memory

UPDATE 4/7: Ran prime again and temps are now 33c under full load. I think my ac3 is kicking in now. AWSOME. NOW what should i do. Should i up it to 13x166 for a 2700+ speed ( will i need to raise vcore +to what?)

I have 5 Antec case fans in my sx835 (350watt ps). Also have sk-7,ac3,and ys tek adjustable(on full speed).
I mean are all those 80mm fans needed? I would like to reduce my -13v reading(-12v) rail

If you consider that Palominos with stock hs/fans run at nearly 60C, you could say thats pretty good. You have a crapload of temperature headroom to overclock and I'm sure that won't hold you back at all. Crank the fsb up to 185MHz, set the multiplier to 12.5, and up the Vcore to 1.75V and you'll have a damn good machine. (make sure you have PCI/AGP locked at 33MHz/66MHz) You don't NEED to mess with the RAM timings.. but they can help a little. After you get the CPU to OC, then mess with the timings. By the way.. you don't have to do it how I said it. But I'd be willing to place money that your rig would work at the settings I mentioned.

yes with it set to 66 or auto it is locked and pci is auto lock....and the temp is very good...just do as everyone says, bump the mult to 12 and fsb to 166-185 and test for stability....

ok. Just to make sure
Tests i need to run. Matter which order?
Memtest (how long)
Prime95 (how long) thats it right
What should i look for in both progs to see if im cool or if something is wrong.

Most people would feel comfortable with 5-6, preferably 8 hours of Prime95 and 10 loops of Memtest86 with cache enabled for all tests, including the extended tests.

explain which memtest settings to use and how to set it up. I know how to use the easy prime test. And just check for errors on that. How many errors are to many or am i suppose to get 0

when it starts up hit:
c-2-3-1-2-0-space

you should get zero errors for both

nah just boot off the disk it creates

(well i guess kinda yes...lol...but not like bootup with startup disk and then run, it runs automagically off disk it creates...)

What OS? If you are running WinXP and you just installed SP1 that's probably the cause of the slowdown. There is a fix available HERE courtesy of John.

Ha keep crankin' it up man! You are almost guaranteed 2700+ speeds on that chip. Put that multiplier back to default, or 13...but preferrably default. Even though the multiplier is defaulted at 13 for the 2100+, my motherboard didn't like it if I manually put it at 13 sometimes. Up that Vcore to ~1.75V and the FSB to 185! Unlock that true 2100+ potential.

go ahead and up your mult up a little.. it should be able to do higher speeds with no problem...

you can also increase your vcore a little as well... you should have plenty of room left on that cpu...
