This is a truly sad tragedy. This is South Korea's 3rd largest city (ie. the subways must have been packed during rush hour)

Some very childish posts in this thread. Mods, I'd suggest removing some of these idiots.

Did a member of the canine liberation army claim responsibility?

what's the point?? what is it w/ some of you and your hang up on the dietary preferences of another culture. They eat dogs in S. Korea, SO WHAT.

this really annoys me.

It's plain stupid. If they considered cows to be pets and treated them like we treat dogs would you stop eating beef? Thought so.

Sometimes the stupid things these silly kids say amaze me. Get out of the US for a summer and go see some of the world, maybe you will become a little more open minded and maybe *gasp* grow up a little. The US is NOT the center of the universe, and everyone else does not need to mirror it. I know that's hard for some of you to accept, but it's the truth.

I haven't been able to teach my cow to catch a frisbee, any pointers?

🙁

I'm shocked that cell phones work underground in the subways there 😕

Reminds me of the last words from those on the flight that got taken down in Penn.

Hearing this news made me very sad. I know a few people going to Korea this week. I have friends and family living there right now. 🙁

For those who think it's funny to crack tasteless jokes, FVCK OFF. I sincerely hope the Mods decide to give you vacation, for your desire to poke fun among a story involving tragic deaths. :|

Chill.

what you did wasn't dealing. it was just small and petty. it wasn't funny. if you said stuff like that regarding 9-11 i guarantee you, you would have been banned and even given a vacation. mb this wasn't on the same scale as 9-11 but it was a very tragic event.

So, you cope with tragic deaths by making fun of the dead?

Call it what you want. I call it coping.

wow

that's certainly different. but i suggest u keep it to yourself. you certainly have the right to express yourself but the mods have the right to shut you up

in order for it to be coping you would have to have something at stake. Do you know someone in korea? were you born there?? have you even been there??

if you answered no, then your not COPING, your just taking cheap shots at the expense of the dead.

May I see your Psychology degree, oh wise one?

for those ignorants who think all south koreans eat dogs:

I lived there until I was 10 years old, and I didnt see a single place that served dogs. They are concentrated at certain places, and it is frowned upon by the younger generations and most of koreans. Only seniors and some middle aged people eat dogs and they make up only very very small amount of the population.

It is not like all koreans eat dogs, dogs are adored there as pets as much as US.

Only two million a year. That's not much.

Korean dog market.

Sorry if this is now becoming the dog thread, but to the extent you value life itself it's a valid detour.

There are 48.324 million people in South Korea, you do the math.

How many cows do you think US slaughter a year?

BTW, have you even seen cows before slaughter? They CRY. I have seen them do this and it is very disturbing. Just because they dont fetch frisbees dont make them more editable than dogs

But I wasn't talking about cows, nor did I sanction their slaughter. What does the korean population have to do with the price of tea in china?

I find it disturbing people eat dog. All meat eating is pretty disgusting when you think about it, though.

That's BS. dog eating is such a small part of overall meat eating to bring it up as an issue of life is LUDICROUS at best.

I find it extremely disturbing that you take an event where 120 people died, as your soapbox to talk about your views.

Nah, read back. It wasn't a soapbox for my views, just a comment others found offensive. Funny to me, but I do see how some see it as distasteful.

Back to the subject at hand...
