Upconverting DVD Player

I just built a Budget HTPC and I was wondering if there is any up-converting DVD Software players out there.?

The hardware is as follows

GigaByte GA-73PVM-S2H
E5200 @ Stock 2.5GHZ (Using the Crappy stock cooler)
2 X 1GB of super*Talent DDR II 800MHZ
Seagate 500GB SATA
Hauppauge HVR-1800 (PCI-Express 1x)
NEC ND-3550A (Old I know I need a new DVD-Burner Drive)
Lite-On SOHR-5238S (CD-Writer also old)
Black SilverStone LC-20
Antec EarthWatts EA-500

The motherboard I'm using has HDMI out and is connected to my Vizio 32" TV VIA The HDMI Out. Also what is the big purpose of up-converting? I have about 200 DVDs and I don't wamt a Blu-Ray player yet (Too Expensive still, I will wait until they get as cheap as a Good DVD Player)

most software players do some already.
I'd reccomend power DVD or FFDshow.

personally I use power dvd8 with sageTV to watch DVD's
