Upcoming RTS games

I grew up on Warcraft, Dune, C&C, StarCraft etc but the RTS genre is tough for me nowadays not because I don't enjoy it but because the gameloop is often much longer than the 30-60 minutes at a time I have to play games.

Good to see the genre is having a sort of mini revival at the moment though!

Some really cool indie titles in there as well. The RTS/RPG and the RTS/4x stood out.

I love what they've done with the C&C Remaster, I go back to it regularly.

If only they could, or wanted to, doing the same treatment for Tiberian Sun (A.K.A., C&C 2) would be amazing since it's my all-time favorite of the franchise; and among my top RTS games ever.

Homeworld 3 could be interesting, I'll check it out at some point (probably not at launch, per se, but surely eventually I will).

On a side note, a largely-forgotten RTS I would recommend to everyone (at least to try it out, you never know; you might like it) is Warzone 2100. That game was a sort of sleeper hit (or maybe a 'hidden gem') during my PS1 years (it was just a single rental). It caught me off guard, it was very fun. However, there's a free PC version, same name, version 4.4.2 I believe at this point (Warzone 2100 Project, it's 100% open source, updated by the community, 100% free, etc). It can be installed via a regular Installer, or can be running via a Portable version (no need to install, no need for Admin privileges, etc). For me Warzone 2100 is kinda timeless, just like the original Command & Conquer games, or StarCraft 1, or WarCraft 2 and 3, etc.

I highly recommend even if it's just to check it out guys: https://wz2100.net/

I was surprised to see the list was 15 long. I thought the genre was in decline.

Top 5:
5. Homeworld 3
4. GodSworn
3. Sanctuary Shattered Sun
2. Stromgate
1. Manor Lords

Good list. Homeworld 3 and Sanctuary definitely on my list, Manor Lords does look so good visually, i wanna try, even if its technically probably not my kind of game.
Aside of these, i am looking forward to Falling Frontier, Fragile Existence, HyperWar, Ardent Seas and maybe couple of others i cant recall their names now.

The one topping my personal list though, is Sins of a Solar Empire 2. Since you can already play it now in EA, its debatable whether to count it as "upcoming".

honestly i really just want a good campaign. i'm not into competitive RTS at all even though i f'in love starcraft. the last campaign i played was Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak and man, that was awesome.
