wait, so i succinctly describe cloverfield, and then you correct me by saying the exact same thing in about 10x the space and now i'm a hater who didn't get cloverfield? no crap it wasn't about the monster. the monster was just a vehicle to delve into the characters. it's just like lost.

I was drinking when I posted that. ^_^

But your post also sounded like a typical angry musing bashing the movie. I understand not liking it, it's not for everyone. So I decided to describe why the way you described it, was a good thing.

the typical angry bashing about cloverfield doesn't realize that the backstory of the characters is the point (of practically anything jj abrams nowadays).

my biggest complaint about it is that i couldn't look directly at the screen starting about halfway through.

OK. There is no way a Ford Pickup slams into a train head on and derails the train.

A fully loaded train has to weigh like 50 tons...That would cut through a truck like butter.

But Ill be interested in seeing the movie. Just as long as it isn't shot in that Blair witch/Clooverfield style which makes me want to puke about 10 minutes in...

<<<<weak stomach.
