Upcoming first "Hate Crime" trial in Fulton County, GA.

If this is a hate crime, I hope they charge the guy that was supposed to cremate bodies from area morgues with hate crimes as well.
 
These folks ought to go away for a long, long time. I still think the idea of a 'hate crime' is stupid though. They ought to be charged with aggrevated assault & attempted murder.

He only cremated the black bodies. All the whites were thrown out back on his lawn in in sheds. Seems along the same lines to me...and if this sets a precedent in GA to actually have something called "hate crimes," then I would fully expect this guy to be included under that umbrella.

But, I'm just bitter against hate crimes anyway. It's stupid.

oh really? didn't know that... sorry. i wonder which one he liked though... i mean he could have only cremated the black dudes because he wanted to get rid of them... or maybe he felt like being disrespectful to the whites. could go either way 😛

No offense, but these to stories aren't even close to being the same thing. All that guy did was break a contract, these three people tried to murder two human beings based on race. It's disgusting. They should go away for a long time and never be allowed back in civilized society again. :|

I know they aren't closely related, but both deal with whether or not committing criminal acts that can be related to race should be punished more than crimes where race cannot be an issue. I don't think so, but obviously many others disagree. I was pointing out that should this set a precedent, I hope that it's fair on both sides.

I agree these punks need to be put away, but the fact that they hated the victims because they were black is pretty irrelavent. The fact he didn't burn the white bodies because they were white should be pretty irrelavent as well. "Hate crimes" are really not a good idea. They should be put away because they beat someone mercilessly. The government doesn't need to become the thought police.

I don't like any "hate crime" legislation. I would convict of agrevated assault and attempted homicide, but I would not convict anyone of any "hate crime".

Those laws are stupid and counter productive. The thing people don't understand is that tolerance is supposed to cover anyone with -any- viewpoint, even if that viewpoint clashes with your own, including racism.

Keep in mind that all the racists say "They arn't worth my time" much like you say of those racist people.
