Up to 40% off refurbs at Apple.com

AFAIK those are normal outlet prices at Apple. The good side, their refurbs carry same warranty as new items and look brand new too.

Yeah, this is a non-sale. I've been following prices there for a few months because I want a powerbook for my daughter. Same prices as always.

Meh,.... good deals...but with the introduction of the Intel Core Duos CPU for Apple, these olders models cool the deal off somewhat.

Are they going to be developing software for the power processors still or are they going to completely transfer over development to x86?

Most software will (likely) be Universal, targeting both PowerPC and Intel processors, for years to come.

It's an open question for how long "pro" apps will be optimized for PowerPC, but you'd expect to be covered for at least the next couple years (one major release).
