I watched it in 3D. It was the first time I'd ever watched anything in 3D as well. I'd say go for it since you've never tried it. The effect isn't ridiculously good, but it's worth it to experience at least once. I didn't get queasy at all but I have a strong stomach. I did have to constantly prop up the glasses with my fingers though because I wore them over my existing glasses and my nose doesn't stick out far enough to hold the second layer of glasses on.
And hey, if you're going to try 3D you might as well try it with Up, which is an excellent movie. Plus the glasses preserve your manliness by helping hide the tears that you'll shed during the movie.
As for future 3D movies, I think I'll probably pass. The effect isn't enough to warrant repeated premiums on ticket prices, which are high enough as it is. I'd much rather pay extra to see it in 60fps (if it were available) where the fluidity makes everything seem super REAL.
