Current specs:
Abit Bh6 mb/celeron 300a/128mb corsair sdram
bios bh6_ss

I'm currently overclocking the celeron 300a to 350mhz. After upgrading the bios, I can have the following capabilities:

External clock MHZ 66/75/83/100/112/124/133
Multiplier factor 2.0-12.0 at .5 increments
voltage 1.30-2.30 at .5 increments

I really don't know how stable my motherboard is in regards to anything above 100mhz(external clock). I would like to upgrade on a limited budget. Can I buy upto a 1 ghz P3 fc-pga w/slotket? And do I have to buy a new retention mechanism for the motherboard to hold the cpu/slotket or will it come with the cpu/slotket? Also, what heatsink and fan setup can I put on this? Right now I have a celeron heatsink and two fans on it.

Thanks

I have 2 of these boards. I bought a retail Cel2 600 and am running it at 900. ;)

Other board has a PIII 650 flip chip in it, no probs either. Just get a sloket that supports flip chips an you will be okay.

I second the above -

Go for a PIII-700 FCPGA and Slocket. The Abit and MSI FCPGA converters seem to be the best - MSI looks to be the favorite. If your devices are up to the PCI overclock yo may get to use one of the overclock bus speeds but if not the 700 (or an 800 if you want to spend a few more bucks) is a big jump from a 300a at any speed.
