Unwanted startup items in XP

I'm trying to disable some startup items in XP, which I cannot find under the Services admin control, nor the Startup start menu folder, nor any win.ini type files - there are 2 items I'd like to disable; QTTask (an apple quicktime service), and CTFmon.exe (a microsoft alternate-input controller). I can't find any settings to disable these items at startup, through the windows setup (services admin control, startup folder, ini files) nor through the associated applications' option menus. I was fond of the MSConfig app in Win9x that allowed a pretty thorough control over startup items such as those in this scenario. Is there an app similar to 9x's MSConfig in Nt/2000/XP systems? Can anyone assist in this problem?
