I'm a TV luddite, I know I can waste my time in front of one and don't want to encourage myself any. This is why I have OTA and tube tv's.

The new wife wants a new tv in the bedroom for christmas, but wants a tiny one. We have an old 13 inch tv/vcr combo right now(with a broken vcr).

I imagine the market and options are fewer for small tv's, but if we're buying one I want the less shitty one. What are the options for this market and what should I be looking for? Ideally it's something amazon has, she's trying an online wishlist for christmas this year.

Thanks guys

so an el cheapo 19-22 inch would be nice. She's itching to shop now, but we probably won't buy until december.

do you just want a TV for use with your OTA tv, or will you be watching dvds as well?

from a quick look, it seems that those tvs with built in dvd players are pretty overpriced due to that feature. it does cut down on clutter etc. though.

Bought my Mom a Magnavox 15" for XMAS 2yrs ago and paid around $199 at Target. Replaced her archaic 13" tube.

Small footprint was a big plus for her and the picture is fantastic.
