I work at Walmart for those of you who don't know that. We are getting like 4 new different models of KDS monitors in stock. We are actually going to have these on display for a change. We want to have some sort of video display on the screens. This needs to be really cheap. We have video feed that comes in the store for all of the tv displays. I was wondering if this could be used on the monitors also. It is like normal coax cable that is used on the tvs. I'm guessing this is not possible. Another idea is to use some old 486 and just put a screen saver on it. Any ideas?

They have those multi output boxes for monitors as well, I've seen it at Best Buy and CompUSA. Where to find one, I don't know...

You could use the seti@home screensaver and leave it so the screen never goes blank.
This would look cool, scientific and all. Or you could use one of those nifty photographic screensavers that has lots of cool nature pictures.
The trouble here is that you said the nasty word "cheap". If it were not for that you could stick a tv tuner card in a machine and run your cable feed into it and out to the Monitors.

I used to work at Besy Buy and we powered our Monitor Wall with an old 386 running Windows 3.1 and a photo-changing screen saver. The best thing to do is get a video splitter, I know the one we had was made by Acer, and I have seen them on the Web before, just search for "video splitter" probably.

But if Walmart is doing this in every store they should roll something out for the whole company to display those, they can buy them in bulk for cheap. Talk to your Merchandising Manager or something equivalent.
