unusual pet peeve thread

I can't stand this thread

I LOVE both quotes in your sig but can't stand the endless ugly symphony of loud, wet, chilli/beer farts from the four other passengers in a subcompact car with closed and broken power windows on a long trip through the desert . . . and the oxymoron lie that is light beer.

I hate people that lean on their shopping cart in a manner that indicates even grocery shopping leaves my body broken and weary.

People that drive very large, very clean, very pretty trucks that indicate my truck has never been used once for work purposes then proceed to park in a manner consuming 6 spaces at the Lowes parking lot. Then they'll arrange to have the building materials delivered because they don't want to scratch their bed liner.

I can't stand people that pronounce 'forte' as 'fort-ay' when they mean 'something I'm good at.' That *should* be pronounced 'fort.' Pronounce 'fort-ay' means 'loud.' Since 99% of the American population pronounces it wrong, I'm fighting a losing battle.

I didn't know that. Learned something new today :^)

I've never heard someone use forte in that way.

I had nonsense business jargon. IE "Let's touch base."

Are numbers messed up for anyone else? I see 99&#37 after the word 'since' of daverino's post. I'm assuming it was an actual number and not 99&#37

yes... seems that something on the software can't handle the % (percent) symbol

edit:
99%
99 %

There are several threads on business jargon rants. Please keep them out of this one. For I get angry at business jargon. I have too much on my plate to think about those things.
If we keep this thread on topic, we can create a beautiful synergy that can be productive.
I'm putting the ball in your court.
Please advise.

this poster is not thinking outside of the box. can we get a more dynamic and fluid-thinking person in here?

You've got to work smarter not harder. Remember, good managers don't work they manage.

I hate pornos where the people suck air through their teeth as they're plowing away. Its so fucking annoying my wood gets soft.
