Why would someone request not to have a packing slip included? That just seems really odd. That just sounds like someone tried to sell someone a book by finding a lower price some where else and then sell it to that person without having to have it shipped to themself first.

Cross Sale. Your buyer is pocketing easy money. Happened to me once, kind of annoying, but you and the buyer agreed on a price so you should honor his wishes as long as he pays.

That's not a problem with me. I'm thinking more if that's true, and the chick decides she doesn't want the book then chaos ensues.

Do people really sit around looking for possible cross sales? I've been trying to see if I could do some book renting locally, but I'm seeing more custom book packages around here.

The third party not being happy isn't your problem. If you say no returns, than your buyer is on the hook. You obliged to your end of the deal and you are done.

Legally, if he resells it (which he is even if he doesn't think so due to the cross sell), he is accepting it as fit for merchantability and therefore you have no further liability.

Of course that says nothing about what Amazon may view it, but if it went to court that would be a 100% fine defense.

I do.

Not books, but there are a lot of things out there you can markup several hundred % and folks are none the wiser.

Well I think someone did just that with this book on Amazon. This book has 2 isbn numbers, and it's setup funky with bestwebbuys.com/books. I don't care I'm not getting all the money back I normally would, but it's just messed up they have the same book essentially listed twice on Amazon because of 2 isbn numbers.
