Unsure of what cooling to use with....

K decided today to build another system. This time I'm going with a Athlon XP 1800+/ECS K7S5A Mobo. Now the problem is I'm not exactly sure what cooling to use with this processor. Last system I built was Intel and cooling isn't near as important ( well as it is in the athlon pre XP, I've not been keeping up lately and I don't know exactly how stable these XP's are ). Anyway I was wondering if anybody had any decent fan suggestions for the processor as it is OEM.

You intend to overclock?

Among the best out now are the Alpha 8045 (bolts to the mobo) , AX-7, Cak II, HCC-001 and Volcano 7+. The alpha can be a pain because it does bolt to the mobo so you will have to remove it. The V7+ has a 3-speed fan but it's only quiet on low. Still cools well though. The Cak II and HCC-001 are a bit on the loud side but both cool very well. While with the AX-7 you can choose which fan you want (it doesn't come with one) and since it's 80mm it'll generally be quieter than the others while still providing as good or better cooling. With a fast but noisy delta fan it it's a demon at cooling.

I reccomend the hhc-001. It cools great for me, even at overclocked speeds. It's a bit on the loud side, but I got used to it after a week.
