Partitioned the HD for 20gb for the new windows 7 OS. Ran the installer and about 15 mins into it it said some of the files couldn't be copied. My computer then froze so I restarted it and then was unable to boot at all. Seems as it was copying some of the MBR files maybe something got messed up, but anyways I fixed it and the machine works now. Was this a bad .iso or was something else going on here. I'd really like to get this to work because I wanna try out windows 7.

Almost definitely either a bad ISO or a bad burn. It took my buddy like 3 tries to get 7 to install, I finally just gave him the disk that I used and it worked like a charm.

As with all things, when doing a multi boot of windows, start with the oldest OS first and keep adding from there. So what I had for a while was XP then installed Vista, then installed 7, but then got rid of XP... and will probably get rid of Vista.

Yeah I have XP already on my main partition of my HD, so I used Gpart live to create a blank 20gb space, then formatted that to NTSF..put the disk in.. etc. So I guess it is prob. a bad .iso because the image burned fine with no errors. Can anybody link me to a site or place where there's a 100% working .iso?

You can only get Windows 7 now (legally) if you have a MSDN or TechNet subscription.
