On a separate note, I find the video-making habit of repeating the same clip several times in the video really irritating, and I wish I knew why it has become so commonplace.

Probably several things including
- Old habits from the days when you saw this sort of thing on TV and couldn't just start the video again from the beginning.
- It's convenient since it's a short fast-moving clip and most people will want to see it more than once anyway.
- It's an easy way to pad out a short video, making it look more worthwhile.
- It's exciting, bonus points if one of the repeats is slowed down.

Well shit, that's something I didn't need to watch. In case anyone wanted to know video is of two bulls running, head butting each other and supposedly died from it.

They were due to be put to the test against a matador on Saturday before their untimely deaths.

I highly doubt that they died. They only appeared to be knocked out. Notice the stiff posturing of their legs, prime symptom of getting knocked unconscious.

If they're dead, they're also unconscious.

If there's narration, it may be because the audio track was edited separately and the video was made to fit the audio track -- I've done this recently using old videos with a new audio track. It is lame but it's that or shoot some more crap just to fill time.

In the case of the OP's video, probably to fill time. I found out that I made more money from ads if my videos were at least 30 seconds long. Had some 20 second ones that got a ton of views but a fraction of the money.

Agreed. These people should be rounded up with the portrait video takers and deported.
