I have a Core i7 920 on an Intel DX58SO.
I've noticed lately that the host clock as reported by Everest is dropping significantly every few seconds.
I thought at first that it might be the CPU throttling it's self, but that's just the multiplier and should only be when the CPU is overheating?
The system feels stable to use, it's not crashing or locking up but the host clock keeps jumping all over the place the lowest i've seen it is 4.4Mhz, but it'll go from 133 to 64 to 12 to 30...
Has anyone experienced something like this? I'm thinking I should be RMA'ing this board.
The rest of the system:
CPU: Core i7 920 Stock Cooler
MB: Intel DX58SO
RAM: 3x 2GB GSkill F3-10666CL7T-6GBPK
GFX: 2x 8800GTX
PSU: Corsair TX-750
