Unstabel system because of memory

Ok, my current setup is:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
AMD Athlon64 3000+
Radeon 9600XT
2 sticks of mushkin sp3200 (but different timings on the sticks).

after trying various configurations of dual channel i decided to drop that and just try single channel. the current setup that memtest86 reports is single channel, DDR335 (167Mhz), timings: 3-3-3-8. i get *no* errors with this setup in memtest86 through all tests. in the motherboard i set it to use 2T.

I know windows operates fine with my one original stick in alone (its timings are 2.5-3-3-7), (other stick timings are 3-3-3-8). But when I have these two sticks in, windows continues to crash (characterized by either a sudden BSOD, sudden reboot, or my favorite slow and painful death: freeze of the mouse with the rest of the computer still wroking, then the text freezes, then the sudden reboot).

so, any suggestions? i'm starting to hate this motherboard, i think it's the source of all my problems. it's super-overclocking sk1ilzz with all of the menus and items only serve to have my ****** crash over and over. with failsafe defaults it dosen't even boot into a widnows setup cd.

anything?

again, the problem is nothing but the memory, since i'ev confirmed it works perfectly with one stick in. is there any memory configuration that will actually work with these sticks?

hahahahaha

nevermind

i put in the new stick of mushkin ram i got (3-3-3-8) and put it to memtest86, test #8 specifically. after like two seconds my screen is flooded with errors.

so one of the sticks is fubared.

great

here is my 4th time RMAing mushkin ****** memory.

either this stuff is total ****** or all my other stuff is total ******

i may never know...
